“ANG HABA RAW NG PRAYERS TAPOS NAGFAFAST PA PO AKO AND SURE NA RAW KO NA SASAGUTIN NA RAW AKO NI LORD?” [PART 1]

“ANG HABA RAW NG PRAYERS TAPOS NAGFAFAST PA PO AKO AND SURE NA RAW KO NA SASAGUTIN NA RAW AKO NI LORD?” [PART 1]

And when you pray, do not heap up empty phrases as the Gentiles do, for they think that they will be heard for their many words.” (Matthew 6:7 English Standard Version) ngunit bago natin panindigan sa sinabi ni Kristo ukol sa pagbabawal nga raw ng pagdarasal sa Santo Rosaryo at sa madaling salita ay pagbabawal sa pagdarasal ng paulit ulit ating ikumpara ang naturang salin sa ibang Bible Translation katulad ng New American Bible Revised Edition na ganito ang naturang bersyon ng Biblia na Bibliang Katoliko, “In praying, do not babble like the pagans, who think that they will be heard because of their many words.”(Matthew 6:7 NABRE) at ikumpara naman natin sa New King James Version,“ And when you pray, do not use vain repetitions as the heathen do. For they think that they will be heard for their many words.”(Matthew 6:7 NKJV).

They use the King James version because it contains “vain repetitions.” Liddell and Scott Greek-English Lexicon have this on the root: βατταλος= βαταλος. II. stammerer (cf. Battapizw), a nickname given to Demos thenes, Aeschin. 2.99, cf. D.18.180. (Codd. Vary between βάταλος and βάτταλος: Βάτταλος pr. N. in Hedyl. Ap. Ath.4.167d.) The New American Bible (Revised Edition) translates “babble” which interestingly captures some of the sound of the Greek.“In praying, do not babble like the pagans, who think that they will be heard because of their many words”(Matthew 6:7, NABRE).So etymologically, the word should mean something like “speak like a stammerer”.A Greek-English Lexicon of the New Testament and Other Early Christian Literature notes that the verb appears, apart from literature dependent on Matt 6:7 and Luke 11:2, only in the Life of Aesop and in Siimplicius (6th c.), meaning something like “talk idly.”According to Catholic Bible scholars, the Lord Jesus condemns prayers of Pagans. “He condemns the babbling prayer of the pagans, who think that they will be heard because of their many words. He is not criticizing persistence in prayer (see 7:7–11) or repetition, which is biblical and pleasing to God (Dan 3:52–68; Ps 136; Rev 4:8). Rather, Jesus condemns a common pagan practice of reciting divine names and formulas to implore the gods to act on their behalf” (The Gospel of Matthew (Catholic Commentary on Sacred Scripture) Edward Sri and Curtis Mitch, Baker Academic; 2nd in a series of 17 edition (December 1, 2010),p. 105).[1]

(Mateo 6:9 MBB05) at ikukumpara naman sa sulat ni San Lucas ika: “And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth.”

O SEE!

Answering the attack of Stand for Truth PH on Mama Mary, Part 2

By: Bro. Humphsky Rey

They misunderstood the meaning of "SAVIOR", a savior can save you after a danger or even during it and can also save you before a danger(Curative vs Preventive) .

Mary was saved before sin can take possession of her body and soul, when the singular grace and privilege from God through the merit of Christ covered her against original sin in the moment of her conception (Immaculate Conception). Thus, she acknowledged a savior for she was saved in an extraordinary and special way. In a basic example, you can save someone by pulling him out of a pit after falling, but you can also save him by preventing him from falling. Thus she never committed sin.

The most accurate and correct translation of the Greek word "KECHARITÓMENÉ" is "FULL OF GRACE", why? Because Mary is really full of grace, and because of that, there are no room for any single sin. It's like a cup overflowing with water, that oil cannot enter.

In Greek, the term κεχαριτωμένη(kecharitōmenē) in Luke 1:28 is a Perfect Passive Participle which means that the Blessed Virgin Mary was PREFECTLY GRACED FROM THE PAST, IS PERFECTLY GRACED AT THE PRESENT, AND WILL ALWAYS BE IN PERFECT GRACE FOREVER. The grace did not just protected her from sin but enabled her to have perpetual continence. Saint Pope John Paul II said that this "kecharitōmenē" was the new name of Mary in the eyes of God. God changed the name of those who played important roles in salvation history.

Remember that this was the prerogative and initiative of God to prepare the coming of His Son. Take for an example a painter, if I am a painter and I am going to make a portrait of my mother, and the portrait seems to be more beautiful than my mother, I will surely say to myself: "If I will be given the chance to choose my mother, I will choose the one in the painting."

Now, who possess the only chance to choose His own mother? It was Him, who existed before His mother. The Lord Jesus Christ have chosen the best among women to be His mother.

Nothing clean will come from unclean:

"Who can make him clean that is conceived of unclean seed? is it not thou who only art?" Job 14:4

Answering the attack of Stand for Truth PH on Mama Mary, Part 1

The Roman Catholic doctrine of "sinless perfection of Mary" is a FALSE DOCTRINE.
Only JESUS is sinless while on earth.
Only GOD is perfect.

Answering the post from Stand for Truth PH

Objection
Mary couldn’t have been conceived immaculate, that is, free from Original Sin because she would not need a savior, since she would have nothing to be saved from. Yet, the Bible proclaims in Mary’s own words that she had a savior. “My soul magnifies the Lord, and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior” (Lk 1:46-47).

Answer
The fact is correct. Mary did have a savior. However, the conclusion is erroneous. Mary’s Immaculate Conception indicates that she had a greater salvation. We have been saved curatively, that is, we contract Original Sin but Christ’s atoning death frees us from it. Mary, on the other hand, was saved preventatively, that is, she was saved from contracting Original Sin because of the infinite merits of her Divine Son.

A second objection that is voiced is based on Romans 3:23 and 11:32. Those passages are as follows.

Rom 3:23 “since all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God”

Rom 11:32 “For God has consigned all men to disobedience, that he may have mercy upon all.”

The argument is made that these passages use “all.” “All” means just that all. It is a universal declaration that allows no exceptions. Thus to exclude Mary is contradictory to the clear meaning of these passages.

The problem with this interpretation is that this explanation of “all” includes Jesus. Yet, Jesus is clearly an exception (Heb 4:15). It would also include Adam and Eve, who were created by God free from sin. Jesus is an exception. Adam and Eve were exceptions. Clearly, then, Mary could be another exception without contradicting Romans 3:23 and 11:32.

If one argues that the passages cited in Romans refers to personal sin, as some Fundamentalists have done, the argument breaks down nevertheless. Jesus is clearly an exception. In addition, unborn babies are not capable of personal sin because they do not have the use of reason. St. Paul, for example, speaks of the time when Jacob and Esau were unborn babies as a time when they “had done nothing either good or bad” (Rom 9:11).

The reality is that there is no biblical basis for rejecting Mary’s Immaculate Conception, but there is compelling evidence to support it.
