ARCHBISHOP JOSE PALMA COMMANDED ALL CFD MEMBERS, ESPECIALLY IN CEBU, TO INTERPRET “GOD DIED” DOCTRINE LITERALLY, NOT FIGURATIVELY! Episcopal Letter Sept. 12, 2022

Finally, THE CASE IS OVER! The Archbishop of Cebu once again upheld the Official Explanation of the God Died Doctrine approved by the CBCP Doctrinal Commission and endorsed by the then CBCP President Archbishop Romulo Valles, D.D. and by the same Archbishop Palma earlier this year.

Archbishop Palma is not only the Archbishop of Cebu for the CFD. He is also our Lord Protector and therefore the Bishop with full authority over the organization representing the Pope. All CFD not only in Cebu but also in the entire Philippines are bound to obey him as the successor to the Apostles. We must be in full communion with him to be in full communion with the See of Peter.

The Archbishop gave his solemn command to both Fr. Fran Villegas, the CFD National Spiritual Director, and Fr. Lucas Inoc, the CFD Cebu Archdiocesan Spiritual Director, to implement his order in their respective members and territory.

Disobedience on this direct and explicit command by the Archbishop on matters of Doctrine and Dogmatic Theology will lead to heresy and sin of pride. Let us all unite our hearts and minds with the Archbishop of Cebu, the CBCP President and the CBCP Doctrinal Commission in proclaiming the Lord Jesus Christ, our Lord and God – the Redeemer and Savior, who died for us on the Cross at Calvary in that fateful first Good Friday!

Let us declare our worship and adoration of Christ our God who died on the Cross for us:

“We adore you O Christ and we bless you. Because by Your Holy Cross you have redeemed the world.”

CFD METRO MANILA and the entire CFD LUZON shall OBEY and UPHELD the direct and explicit command of Archbishop Palma! No more, no less! We bow our heads to the Apostolic Authority of the Successor of the Apostles and we kiss his episcopal ring with love, affection and humility.
